Verification

  1. Staying true to our mission. CAPA was founded and built to research and document various claims of the paranormal. With our work we’ve helped many clients from worried homeowners to curious business owners. We’ve strived to maintain our reputation and credibility as paranormal investigators. This means there will be no Unofficial Investigations. Each investigation must be scheduled with the Case Manager and approved by the Founder. There will be zero tampering/faking of evidence, any violation will result in immediate kicking from the group.
  2. Hygiene and Attire: Each investigator must wear closed toe shoes or boots, jeans/pants, knee length shorts and a team shirt. Lead investigators must wear closed toe shoes or boots, jeans/pants or knee length shorts. Team shirt is optional but preferred. Each investigator and team lead must wear clean clothes to meetings and investigations. Bathing and deodorant is required before every CAPA event. You are responsible for the upkeep of your team shirts and accessories.
  3. There is to be NO drug use of any kind unless prescribed to you and brought to the attention to a team lead. There is to be NO alcohol use of any kind during any investigation or official CAPA events. There is to be NO foul language toward or around the clients. Reactions to startling situations are taken into consideration.
  4. Attendance: Investigations are scheduled reasonably to accommodate preparations. We realize group members have lives, children, jobs, etc. This does not mean skip every investigation aside from the most popular locations or “The Big One”. Each case should be treated and handled the same, prioritizing cases involving children. After THREE unexcused missed investigations, you will be removed from CAPA. If you are unable to attend an investigation, please let a team leader know.
  5. Joint and guest investigations with other teams: When participating in partner investigations with other teams, CAPA rules still apply. Team leads from each group will organize rules for these special investigations.
  6. Equipment and use: Each investigator should start with a digital recorder and within three months have a basic ghost hunting kit. This does not have to be a bank breaker! Any equipment that fits your budget and you’re comfortable using is ideal. All equipment belonging to CAPA is to be checked out with the Tech Manager and treated with respect and returned/checked in with the Tech Manager. Equipment is everyone’s responsibility.
  7. The Coastal Atlantic Paranormal Association is a non profit organization, we do not charge for any service provided to our clients during and pertaining to an investigation. There are no tips or monetary gain from the Coastal Atlantic Paranormal Association. This is not a contract and you are free to leave at any time.
