Who we are: The Coastal Atlantic Paranormal Association is a volunteer paranormal research group that consists of individuals of diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds. The team, originally the Carolina Association of Paranormal Activity has investigated several homes and businesses in North Carolina and Florida. Founders Kevin Leonard and Jonathan Robertson have several years of experience investigating claims of paranormal activity thus ensuring you professionalism and confidentiality when handling your case.
Why we do this: C.A.P.A was founded because we understand the fear of sounding crazy or being ridiculed by others for believing paranormal activity is occurring in our homes or around us. We take all cases very seriously and always keep an open mind to any claim our clients bring to us. We strive to further understand and document, in a scientific manner, the potential presence of the paranormal and to bring peace of mind to the clients we help. Therefore, all evidence we collect is thoroughly analyzed and findings presented to our clients in a scientific manner that either disproves or proves the presence of paranormal activity.
Our methods: C.A.P.A uses a scientific approach when investigating. We never use Ouija or Spirit Boards, witchcraft, perform seances or any other technique that would “conjure” or “summon” spirits. Provoking and intimidating are used on occasion. We try to recreate or debunk claims to help bring understanding and scientific explanations to clients. Feelings and senses are noted but we rely on audio and video as evidence.
